Knowing the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 can help you get a huge headstart on the competition. Whether you want to prioritize Chests or hireable NPCs, your decision could be the difference between a Victory Royale or an early elimination.

This guide lists some of the best landing spots on the current Fortnite map, as well as details of what you'll find there. As things change throughout the season, we'll keep this page updated with our latest recommendations.

Where to Land in Fortnite C5S3

Every location has benefits and drawbacks, but here are some of the best landing spots you can choose when jumping out of the Battle Bus in the current season of Fortnite:

  1. The Nitrodome
  2. Mount Olympus
  3. Sandy Steppes
  4. Rescue Station
  5. The Underworld

We've marked all of these locations on the map above so you'll know exactly where to land, but if you're wondering what makes them so special, you can find more details about each landing spot below.

1. The Nitrodome

The best landing spot in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is also the most dangerous, so it's a risky decision to land here. It can pay off, though, as the Nitrodome is filled with cars and mods, giving you a guaranteed headstart in a season that's so heavily focused on vehicles.

If you're not confident in your ability to overthrow the Nitrodome, you can simply grab a car and make your escape through a flaming boost hoop. However, if you're up for a challenge, stick around to take on the NPC boss Ringmaster Scarr. Defeat her, and you'll get a Medallion that provides infinite ammo and gives you access to her Lockjaw car, which is one of the best vehicles in the game.

2. Mount Olympus

With this season's focus shifting to the new desert locations on the southern side of the map, the Olympian-themed locations from the previous season are a lot quieter. This is great news if you're looking for a less chaotic start to a match, but still want a chance to stock up on some decent loot.

Mount Olympus is a Chest-heavy location, so there's a good chance you'll leave here with a stacked loadout. The best part about this landing spot, though, is the Scout Specialist character Artemis. For just 200 Gold Bars, you can hire her to follow you around the Island. As well as helping you in battle, she'll occasionally reveal the locations of nearby enemies and Chests, which can be a game-changer when faced with sneaky opponents.

3. Sandy Steppes

Sandy Steppes has become a shell of its former self since the sandstorm took over the southern side of the map, but don't let its barren appearance deceive you. There are loads of Chests and plenty of floor loot to discover here, making it a great place to start a match.

It's also pretty quiet, so you shouldn't have too much competition here, but if you do come face-to-face with an enemy player, the derelict houses make for great cover. You can sneak around them and pick up some extra weapons, ammo, and healing items as you go, before emerging to ambush your enemies.

4. Rescue Station

If you're happy to travel off the beaten path, the Rescue Station landmark northeast of Reckless Railways is a great landing spot. This area is home to Triage Trooper, a Medic Specialist who will regularly throw healing items at you when hired for 200 Gold Bars. This is one of the most useful services any NPC can offer, as it frees you up to focus on shooting.

Even if you don't hire Triage Trooper, there's still a lot to offer at the Rescue Station, including a handful of Chests, some Slurp Barrels to heal yourself, a Reboot Van in case your teammates get eliminated, and a Job Board if you need some extra Gold Bars. There are also several vehicles parked outside so you can make a quick getaway.

5. The Underworld

Like Mount Olympus, The Underworld isn't quite as popular as it was last season. You'll still find a few opponents landing here, but it's big enough that you can avoid them while you search the many Chests that can be found here. It's also one of the coolest locations in Fortnite history, so we wouldn't blame you for landing here purely for the vibes.

There are three Bunkers located nearby, so if luck is on your side, at least one of them will open before the Storm forces you to move closer to the center of the map. Bunkers contain Rare Chests, Weapon Cases, and Mod Benches, making them the best way to stock up on high-tier weapons during the end-game period.
