Time to add more letters to my letter of the week resources, for preschool classes. Here is the letter A resources , letter B resources and letter C resources. Today I am adding crafts for Letter D Activities.

I have gathered a listof different letter D activities from crafts, math, letter, recipes, and fineand gross motor skills.

The preschool room I worked in did 2 craft activities a dayand one recipe a week. The kids loved to cook and eat what they made.

There were always lots of books different books for each week’s letter theme. We played games and did physical activities around the letters too. ABCs Yoga for Kids was always a favorite.

Dough – make any recipe that you form a dough with likebread or cookies.

Donuts -Use 1package refrigerated biscuit dough. Punch a hole in the middle of each biscuit(a bottle cap will work). Fry in 1 inch of hot oil for about 1 minute or untillight brown on both sides (fry the “holes” too). When cool, shake in a bag ofcinnamon mixed with sugar, brown sugar, or powdered sugar.

Directed Drawing – Draw a simple Letter D item like a donut and have the kid follow along and draw it. Example: Draw a large circle in the middle of paper. In the middle of the circle draw a smaller circle. Color the large circle brown but no the center part.

Bring a Letter D Item- Have the kids bring a letter D itemto school (with parents’ approval of course) and share. If they can’t bring theitem remind them, they could bring a photo of the item instead.
